Lines chosen for production ramp up for 2026 delivery were those consistently yielding high numbers of viable emblings/seedlings. These lines exhibited strong propagation levels during proliferation stages, a high count of viable embryos during maturation stages, and a high success rate of viable seedling transplants upon transfer to soil.
Moreover, additional data gathered from field performance assessments conducted in Clyde River and various sites across Nova Scotia influenced the selection of lines for the 2026 delivery, including 057, 314, 320, 325, and 345. These lines showcase performance both in vitro and in the field concerning needle retention, late flushing, and a high recovery rate.
